| Many people do not
yet understand how art can be created on the computer and are under
the illusion that it isn't "real" art.
Artists that use programs like Painter, use a stylus to paint on the screen and the brushes in the program can produce the same effects one would get using watercolors, pastels, pencils or oil paints. Producing paintings on the computer is not necessarily faster than using tactile materials, but certainly less messy. I still paint in watercolors on a regular basis, and intend to scan some of them for inclusion on this site. NeW 7/2000
